WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2023

Theme: Solutions to Plastic Pollution

Today, Wednesday 5th June 2023, Dedan Kimathi Foundation Environment Conservation team joins the World in Marking World Environment Day.

This year, the global attention is on finding solutions to plastic pollution.

The national celebration is taking place at Lake Nakuru National Park in Nakuru City. The event is being presided over by the Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Hon. Roselinda Soipan Tuya.

The Foundation can not stress enough the need to manage plastic waste properly to reduce its high degree of destruction to human and animal lives and effects on natural processes as they take quite a long period to decompose.

DKF advocates for reduced plastic use, re-using manufactured plastics and recycling plastic waste.
