The forest was home
During the struggle for independence, freedom fighters led by Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi found refuge in the forests of Nyandarua and Mount Kenya. Trees were their hideout, their shelter and their home.

Through tree nurseries, school programmes and community planting days, we raise seedlings and restore degraded land so those forests keep giving.
